United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a country located in the Middle East, on the Arabian Peninsula. It was formed in 1971 and consists of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. The capital city is Abu Dhabi, while Dubai is the most famous city known for its modern skyscrapers and luxury lifestyle.
The UAE has a desert climate with hot summers and mild winters. The country is rich in oil and natural gas, which have helped it develop rapidly. Today, it is one of the world's most advanced nations, with excellent infrastructure, world-class shopping malls, and high-tech industries.
Tourism is a big part of the UAE’s economy. Millions of visitors come every year to see famous landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa (the world's tallest building), Palm Jumeirah, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The UAE is also famous for its cultural heritage, including traditional souks (markets), camel racing, and falconry.
The people of the UAE follow Islamic traditions, and the country is known for its hospitality. The official language is Arabic, but English is widely spoken. The UAE celebrates its National Day on December 2nd every year, marking the unification of the emirates.
